Aztec Vira Cruz is a large male with correct conformation, well balanced proportions and strong bone. His solid coloured white fleece grows with uniformity in fineness and a minimal amount of guard hair with an impressive 4.5" staple length at 7years old. It still holds a fine and soft handle as expressed in his yearly histograms.

This macho's full Peruvian pedigree represents a rare bloodline in Canada. His sire 'Viracocha' proved his strong fibre genetics in the Canadian Show Ring. At 10yrs his AFD records 24.6 micron with CV 17.7. Viracocha originates from the famous Sollocota herd, one of the most outstanding fleece producing herd in Peru known for fineness and retention of fineness. He is one of only 2 herdsires from the Sollocota lineage importet to Canada, the other being Alpamayo. Viracocha was awarded 'Get of Sire' in 2002 at the Chinook Challenge and still produces Champions.

Aztec Vira Cruz delivered on his genetic promise with his offspring on our farm and through outside breeding. His 2006 female cria (SBA Empress) won Best of Age and Grand Champion at the NavanFair Alpaca Halter Show 2006 (Judge C.Merkley) and Grand Champion at the PacaFiesta 2006 (Judge J.Anderson).
